When beginning to build your first Kajabi website, you'll want to take a look at the Site Settings first where you can start to assemble all of the details pertaining to your site, and lay the foundation for search engine optimization (SEO) elements that will help your site be found via Google and other search engines.

In the Kajabi Site Settings, creators are able to brand their website through a variety of customizations that include the title of your website, color combinations, adding your unique logo, and other elements that will be the branding of your online presence through Kajabi.

Once you have finished configuring your Site Settings, you are ready to build your first webpage, which should be your homepage.

Most creators will opt for a Coming Soon styled landing page that simply announces to your audience that the larger website will be available in the near future, while also providing an opportunity to build your email list through an opt-in form directly situated on the homepage.

Website builder tools within Kajabi make the implementation of such opt-in forms literally a drag and drop situation, streamlining the homepage construction process especially for fist time creators who may lack the technical skills to produce such functions on a website built outside of the Kajabi platform.

After you've built your homepage, begin testing the website to ensure it works from a potential client's perspective. Check out how your homepage will appear to customers by clicking the Preview button, which also allows you to test out the functionality on the page to ensure that your opt-in form was implemented correctly. Subscribe to your own Kajabi email list to make sure it functions as intended.

Remember that your opt-ins will not appear under the Kajabi People tab until that specific customer has confirmed their email address after opting in.

After building your homepage, you can begin to create the rest of your Kajabi site, which should include pipelines (sales funnels), your digital Products, Offers, and landing pages created to specifically convert the qualified traffic you've driven to that page.
