In this morning’s Bible Reading, Christopher Ash, Writer-in-Residence at Tyndale House, Cambridge, will be expounding Psalm 4. Under our theme of Hope this will point us to the great hope that comes from watching Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2) as he sleeps the sleep of trust. As we hope in Jesus, we learn to rest because of him.

Rico Villanueva, speaks on ‘Hope and Lament’ in this morning’s seminar. ‘God is good all the time!’ We often hear this in church. The worship leader would say, ‘God is good’ and the congregation would respond, ‘all the time’. But how about those who are finding it hard to see the reality of that statement because of so much suffering? Is it a sign of weak faith if we are not able to declare that God is good? Not necessarily. Even Asaph, one of the worship leaders in the Bible, struggled in affirming God’s goodness. In Psalm 73, Asaph shows us that there is room for our struggles in the presence of the Lord.

We’d love you to join us for this short daily session with Count Everyone In. This is a devotion for adults with learning disabilities to encounter God for the first time & for others to grow in their faith and understanding.
