The Supra Z3 M Coupe! Epic 2JZ turbocharged engine swap

This car has such a cool story. The owner/builder always wanted a Z3 M Coupe. When he finally bought one, he loved it but found it a bit too slow.

And so he executed one of the most epic engine swaps we've come across. Des and his son Jonathan, from Rapid Builds in Gauteng, South Africa, set about importing a 2JZ from Japan and sliding it into the that famous clown shoe bonnet.

Initially they cranked up the power to 400kW, but as Des told our video guy, Ciro, the car was basically undrivable. They've detuned it now to about 300kW on the rear wheels, but still, that's about double the amount of power the car originally offered.
