HSA Explained - How Heterogenous System Architecture will improve computing

Some of the biggest names in high tech came together in June and announced the formation of the Heterogeneous System Architecture (HSA) Foundation. Companies like AMD, ARM, Imagination, MediaTek and Texas Instruments are the initial founding members and they build technology that everyday users use - for PCs, tablets, smartphones, TVs, cloud servers. But when they say they want 'to drive a single architecture specification and simplify the programming model to help software developers take greater advantage of the capabilities found in modern central processing units (CPUs) and graphics processing units (GPUs), and unlock the performance and power efficiency of the parallel computing engines found in heterogeneous processors', do you as the end user really understand what they are trying to do here and how HSA works. In the next video I will explain to you how HSA is attempting to change the future of computing...
