Today is DAY 3 of my Quarantine Diaries Series, it has been 29 days since we self-quarantine in our home here in California. As we continue to stay home to decrease the spread of COVID-19, we have become more aware of so many things that we would typically "be too busy for" and pay mind to. Although it has been extremely challenging to be away from our family in Florida and in Texas, we are grateful that our families are safe and healthy.

I hope that these videos bring you hope and remember that this time will pass. Although it is uncertain how much longer we will have to be in quarantine, I look forward to the future and the opportunity to become a better world through this experience.

“I DO NOT PRAY FOR SUCCESS, I ASK FOR FAITHFULNESS” -Mother Teresa

Today was such a wonderful day at the Missionaries of Charity. Being able to serve those in need brought much joy to my heart. Learning to practice true kindness & being present with God was today’s gift. I thought about other ways I can give back to the world and I believe I have been called to empower others and give my time (not all of it) but some of it to my community. It is my faith in Our Lord that pulls me in this direction.

The joy I feel in my heart when I serve others is priceless, yet so ever lasting. Today I learned that God is always listening and is attentive to the desires of my heart. Sometimes HE is quick to answer my prayers, and other times HE takes a little longer. But what is more important is my faith in HIM through the good and the not so good of life. I have received HIS mercy & I have felt HIS love for me yet again. My Lord, more than anyone else knows and understands the troubles and pains of my heart. It is HE, who has and continues to heal my soul. HE is the only One who will love me unconditionally. So in times of darkness & dryness I must remain faithful, for I am never alone, but I will thirst for HIM. Thats ok too, I thirst for HIS love and healing.

As I carry on with my journey I must be patient and attentive to HIS calling. I know there are greater days coming. “I know GOD will not give me anything I can’t handle”. -Mother Teresa

Continue to grow in prayer and read scripture daily, for this is the only way to know HIM better. Do not give up, this is just the beginning of something you never imagined. Have faith and hold on to HIM.
