Scope of Works and estimates

This video is about my scope of works document and preparing an estimate. Perhaps of interest to those starting up in business for themselves in this field, certainly of no interest to anyone else!

And yes, when selecting the cooker connection outlet on the estimate, I did mis-click and select a Crabtree cooker switch. I didn't notice until long after the estimate had been emailed out!

10/10/19: As an update, we did win this job, and it went in two days ago although we didn't film it. The job went largely according to plan and we were done after two hours so the invoice clocked in cheaper than the client expected which he was delighted about! There were a couple of material alterations, but the carpets went back just fine and there was a spare 32A MCB we were able to use.

I've had a few requests from people asking if they can have a copy of my SoW. I'm sorry, but I don't want to release it into the wild; it took some effort for it to evolve into the document it is today and it is tailored to my business. The point of the thing is to stand out from the crowd, and to do that you should create your own version tailored to your business and let it evolve for itself over time. The key areas have been listed here, but the content you need to make your own!
