How to Make OBSCENE Amounts of Money in 2021 Elite Dangerous Money Making Trading Guide

Let me show you how to make obscene amounts of money in 2021 Elite Dangerous, with this handy Elite Dangerous money making trading guide.

Let me show you exactly how you can make tons of money in Elite Dangerous with this space truckin to glory trading guide! Don’t worry I’m going to break it all down for you! This method has been around for at least a few years that I know of and sense mining prices are currently kind of meh let me share it with you.

Step 1 is to head over to eddb.io. Once there you will click on the systems tab. Under faction states you will select Expansion. Now press the find systems button. Eddb will now pull up tons of systems that are in this state.

Pro tip: find a group of people who are actively doing BGS so they are in essence constantly in an Expansion state. Once you do this enough you will know exactly which systems are best.

In this video I will be highlighting my favorite location that features very quick travel and a constant source of the minerals you need for your mission. For this demonstration I will show you my favorite place which is Rana when it’s in expansion.

Step 2 once you know your location and verified that the controlling faction is in expansion head over to inara.cz. Click on the market tab, then on commodities. The top three paying items you want to research will be Bertrandite, Gallite and Indite. Select one of those. Enter your reference system which for me is Rana then click search. Make sure to filter carriers, small pads, and surfaces. Click on Export.

This will bring up a list of the closest one jump away systems to buy your mission materials. My favorite location to buy all my mats is in Orbitz Moreno City in Tau Ceti. It’s only 20ly away with the station only being 44ls from the star. This makes for quick back and forth trips.

Pro tip: now that you know both of your system locations you can instantly ally yourself with the controlling faction to get access to the 50 million missions right away! All you need to do is sell 8 - 10 million in exploration data to the controlling factions station that is in Expansion.

Step 3: Look for transport wing missions with the asteroid icon that want Bertrandite, Gallite and Indite. They pay up to 50 million which can be done in one or two trips maximum. You can also grab up any Cobalt missions as filler just in case your stack runs out. The cobalt missions are usually larger 2k missions that pay well but require four trips to complete.

Pro tip: Make sure to only accept missions that have minerals you can purchase. Don’t make the mistake of taking missions that have no buy locations. You can also shave off lots of time space truckin by doing the super cruise assist trick. For more information on how to do that check out this video here.

Step 4 is to profit from doing as many back and forth as you can in your biggest ship like a Type 9 or Cutter. This is a good way to make up to 250 million per hour solo but if you do this with friends together you can make obscene amounts of money per hour in a wing of four. Making this one of the most profitable ways to make money with friends in Elite Dangerous.

Pro tip: The name of the game is constantly getting those missions. If you’re solo, understand the mission boards refresh in game every 10 minutes. One some trips you can check the boards twice before leaving.

When doing this together with friends if anyone doesn’t have an active mission they stay on location until they get one. Before anyone in a wing turns in the mission, share it with your wing. Each commander can share one mission each before completion!
