Purificaton (浄化, Jōka)? is a mechanic in Metaphor: ReFantazio. Certain weapons can be enhanced and transformed into a stronger version of that weapon. Purification water is generally required in addition for exchange. The protagonist's Wisdom virtue needs to be Rank 2 for the facility to be unlocked. There are cases where there are multiple items with the same equipment prerequisite: in that case, after purifying one of them, the item can be swapped into its alternative for only a cheap cost....
