Fresh Air - Christianity's Path From 'Forbidden' To A 'Triumph'
Terry Gross is the host and co-executive producer of Fresh Air, an interview format radio show produced by WHYY-FM in Philadelphia and distributed throughout the United States by National Public Radio (NPR). She interviews Bart D. Ehrman on March 20, 2018 and centers the discussion to reflect on Bart's book "The Triumph of Christianity: How A Forbidden Religion Swept the World." Bart, the best-selling author of Misquoting Jesus traces the history of how Christianity evolved from the faith of a handful of peasants in rural Galilee to a dominant Western religion in less than four centuries, exploring how it was nearly fated to become an obscure sect of Judaism and how it has revolutionized culture, economics and law.
