Vaccines Minister: COVID winter lockdowns would be 'last resort'

Vaccines Minister Nadhim Zahawi says more lockdowns this winter would be a 'last resort' - as he insisted 12-15 year olds will benefit from having one single COVID jab.

Mr Zahawi said the government will rely on vaccines to shift COVID-19 from pandemic to endemic status.

He added that the chief medical officers from all four UK nations had unanimously agreed 12-15 year olds should be offered one dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
