Maldives | Ultimate Deep South 2017 with MV Crown Liveaboard

I spent 6 days in South Maldives after acrossed the ocean from Raja Ampat.Thanks to invitation from Wahoo Diving Center,Thailand incorporated with MV Crown.I has amazing week in the middle of Indian ocean and this short video can tell you all about it.

South Maldives is route that become more popular year.A windows of good weather season allowed us to dive this area only a few months a year.I dive classic route (N/S Male -Ari atoll) and Baa Atoll before and from just 5 days of diving in deep south,This area has much more impressive number of shark population.First night I arrived the boat greeting by 2 Whale sharks.Then we encountered various species of shark thru the whole trip.Spinner sharks,Hundreds of Grey reef sharks, White tip reef shark,Black tip reef shark and a glimpse of Silvertip ,Scallop hammerhead and Tiger shark in Foammulah Atoll(No footage from Foammulah,It’s quite deep and too fast.I decided to just have experience with it).Manta cleaning station on the last day is the nice way to end the trip.So far this is the dive that I saw the biggest school of grey reef shark in my life(100+)

About MV Crown,I dive with Ali&Stefania on the previous boat “MV Princess Lara” in 2010.So this is just like back to visit good old friends on the new house.As I worked in the diving in industry for a long while and I believed Ali is the one who knew the ocean in his home at best.Now they have a lovely son and enjoy taking care the guest on beautiful boat “MV Crown”.Look forward to come back to Maldives and dive with them again.
