Ceasefire Announced But Sparring Sides Israel And Lebanon Cannot Stop Attacking Each Other

In order to facilitate talks for a longer-term security and peace deal, Israel and Lebanon have agreed to a 10-day truce. President Donald Trump of the United States declared the truce on Thursday, and it took effect at 21:00 GMT. The truce comes after six weeks of war between Israel and Hezbollah, a Lebanese organization supported by Iran. Israel has displaced over a million people and murdered at least 2,196 people in its war on Lebanon. However, Lebanon's army reported many Israeli ceasefire violations on Friday morning.
