Many people meet their partners at work. After all, when people spend a lot of time together, collaborating on projects, and having open vulnerable conversations, there is a good chance that romantic relationships will develop. However, if you are interested in someone at your job it is important to be very intentional and careful about the way you go about pursuing someone you work with.

Some companies have explicit policies that forbid colleagues from dating. As with any romantic relationship, make sure you only pursue people who clearly communicate their interest in you or you could be charged with sexual harassment. Everyone has a right to a workplace that is free from unwanted advances.
