Dr. Shakeel Ahmad, Chairman, Dept. of Social Work, UOP, talks about Dosti “Mera Ghar – Mera School”.

Dr. Shakeel Ahmad honored Dosti Welfare Organization again to talk about the “Mera Ghar – Mera School” My Home – My School program. Dr. Ahmad and his department have always assisted Dosti Welfare Organization since the start of “Balck Board Banao - Pakistan Perhao.” Recently Dosti distributed 220 whiteboards in Barkhan, Balochistan, benefitting 3269 children to continue their studies at home.
We requested Dr. Ahmad to share his views about the program, and he spoke in detail.

"Dosti Mera Ghar Mera School" Campaign
Besides the devastating effects of COVID-19, children’s education has been significantly hampered all over the world. Because of the lack of electronic devices such as electronic notebooks and smartphones in most households in developing countries, children are at a more significant loss. Dosti Welfare Organization and Global Education Campaign have launched the “Mera Ghar Mera School” Campaign to provide whiteboards to disadvantaged students in its area of service in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to engage students during school closure. This offer is appealing to families who are concerned about their children’s education. Dosti has distributed 2332 whiteboards in Peshawar, Mardan, Charsadda, Swat, Upper Dir, Lower Dir, Nowshera, Balochistan benefiting 17,292 students. We receive numerous requests for the whiteboards from the students and their parents. The organization is seeking donors who would fulfill this tremendous and urgent need.
