The longimanus like many other shark species is critically endangered due to the overfishing by industrial fishing and the constant demand for shark fins from Asia. Sharks are a crucial part of the oceans eco system and have to be protected. The video was taken at the Elphinstone Reef in egypts red sea. A calmn and relaxed longimanus is swimming close through a group of divers before he gets face to face with one of the divers. The video has been taken in late October 2021. If you dive with the Longimanus stay relaxed and calm to avoid an attack. Attacks usually only happen because of wrong behaviour.
