Indo-Pacific Leaders Dialogue: Taiwan
The Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) present the inaugural session of the Indo-Pacific Leaders Dialogue series featuring a keynote address from President Tsai Ing-wen, President of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
The webinar discussion reflected on the themes of the address as well as the President’s responses to five questions posed by ASPI including Taiwan’s Covid-19 experience, the One China policy, self defence, independence or reunification, and risks of future conflicts.
For the discussion, ASPI’s Executive Director Peter Jennings was joined by Dr Chen-wei Lin, CEO, INDSR; Dr Mark Harrison, Senior Lecturer Politics and International Relations, University of Tasmania and Dr Samantha Hoffman, Analyst, ASPI.
