Gimme Shelter In Place: Jackie Greene - "Light Up Your Window"

The latest installment of JamBase's 'Gimme Shelter In Place' video series features Jackie Greene performing "Light Up Your Window" backstage at San Francisco's Great American Music Hall in 2015. Greene was joined by his band mates, Nathan Dale, Fitz Harris and Brian Filosa.

'Gimme Shelter In Place' is JamBase’s new daily archival video series launched for fans who right now can’t go see live music. Canceled concerts and music festivals due to social distancing and sheltering in place in response to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic brought a halt to tours around the globe. We know nothing can truly replace seeing live music in person, but we hope the Gimme Shelter In Place live videos provide a taste of those memorable experiences.

Jackie and his band played a session for JamBase at GAMH that not only included "Light Up Your Window," but a cover of the Grateful Dead's "Sugaree." The quartet's take on "Sugaree" was featured in JamBase's 2015 video series 'Songs Of Their Own' celebrating 50 years of the Grateful Dead. "Light Up Up Your Window" was released later in 2015 on Greene's studio album, 'Back To Birth.'
