Abstarct - The passcode-based load control system is an embedded security solution designed for electrical safety grids, ensuring that high-voltage loads are only activated by authorized personnel. The core of the system is an Arduino microcontroller, which interfaces with a 4x4 matrix keypad for user input and a 16x2 LCD to provide real-time status updates. If the entered code matches, the Arduino triggers a logic-high signal to a relay driver circuit (typically using a BC547), which then energizes an electromagnetic relay to bridge the AC mains to the load. Conversely, if an incorrect code is provided, the system denies access and can be configured to trigger a buzzer alarm to alert of unauthorized tampering. To ensure electrical isolation between the low-voltage control circuitry and the high-voltage safety grid, optocouplers are often integrated into the relay module. The software logic utilizes the Keypad.h and LiquidCrystal.h libraries to manage input scanning and display multiplexing efficiently. This setup prevents accidental or malicious operation of critical machinery, providing a robust "digital lock" for industrial or domestic power distribution. By centralizing control through a passcode, the project minimizes the risk of electrical hazards and ensures that energy consumption is strictly monitored and regulated.
