This is an *updated* video of a toy-model RDE simulation.
This is a 2D Euler simulation of a self-similar unwrapped RDE geometry. For simplicity, we have assumed calorically perfect gas with one-step combustion chemistry, using model parameters that correspond to premixed methane-oxygen (CH4+2O2). The video shows some interesting dynamics during the RDE start-up. The work is not yet published.
