Hybrid Turbo Powah! | Ep 13

As the speed academy guys would say, it's time to make some jam! With all my turbo parts finally here I can assemble and mock up the hybrid turbo.

This turbo is constructed of a stock S5 RX7 turbine housing and CHRA, a Garrett TA34 turbine wheel replaces the stock turbine wheel, and a Garrett T04B compressor housing, backplate and 60 trim wheel replace the stock 48 trim wheel. The donor T04B turbo was a cheap ebay special. Since I'm on a tight budget to finish this build, I had to get creative. I'll link the items I used down below and feel free to ask any questions on how I assembled this hybrid.

Most importantly, the rotating assembly will be sent out to get balanced and once finished, I can install this turbo for good!

(Edit 9/21/17: I updated both links, but I think the buyer for the turbo has a typo. The price says $1,159.00 USD! I bought it for $159.00 USD! So, if you are interested you could ask them what the typo is about or find another turbo with similar spec's, good luck!)
