THE POGUE is the quintessential ambassador for funky 70s chronographs by SEIKO and it ultimately made it into space as the first automatic chronograph …or was it truly alone in that regard? Various 6139 or Seiko 5 Sports Speedtimer models were dubbed “Pogue” but in this video, I will give you all the details about “The TRUE Pogue” and all the other variations out there. As pointed out to me after releasing this video, I was a victim of afternarket parts in my piece as well (dial, bezel inlay, rotatable bezel and possibly even the hands)! As mentioned in the video: "authenticity is key", therefore please check any offering thoroughly (more thorough than I did!). I want to be transparent about this: This watch will stay with me and not sold on to spare anyone else. It's still a cool look, but unfortunately not fully original 🙁.
