Clair Obscur Expedition 33 on Expert [Steam Deck] [Game Pass] [Cloud] [Docked] Part 09 The Paintress

There are a lot of videos on YT with various games tested on Steam Deck. Most of them present the footage of the screen and how the game looks ON Steam Deck. Some people, however, use their Steam Deck as a desktop PC or a regular console. For this playthrough, for the sake of convenience and visual experience, I used the Cloud Gaming series which is a part of Xbox Game Pass.

One of my goals for 2026 related to games is to catch up with all the great titles released in 2025 (I keep claiming that 2025 was a fantastic year for games compared to the rest of the period of 2020-2025). However, playing these games on my current hardware would be a disgrace or simply far from playable. That is why I decided to reunite with Game Pass, specifically to use its Cloud Gaming service.

So, the first in the line is Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. A praised title made by a relatively small studio that proved bloated companies are unnecessary to provide a high-quality, mind-blowing product. I want to check whether the game is as good as they describe. Although "whether" is a wrong word here. I should rather say "why".

NOTE: Bear in mind that this is recorded in the docked mode, meaning the performance might always be a bit lower than in the regular handheld mode due to the scaling, etc.
