Sailing through LIGHTNING STORMS Mid-Ocean | Crossing the Indian Ocean Ep.107

Getting struck by lightning is one of our greatest fears at sea. We are surrounded by thunderstorms when finally our luck runs out and one comes too close. Losing the use of our masthead instruments only adds to the challenge of sailing through this turbulent and stormy sea. As if that wasn't enough water gets into our autopilot and it stops working too. We knew sailing across the Indian Ocean would be our toughest challenge yet and it is proving to be just that. Ocean sailing on a small boat as a couple is not easy, but it is an adventure.

We have been sailing around the world for over 5 years after setting off from England in 2016 on board our 37ft sail boat Florence. Join us as we share the highs and lows of travelling around the world by boat, Sailing offshore across the Oceans and exploring remote locations with our own little tiny house. Boat life out at sea on the ocean and off the grid.
