MORON SUMAN | How To Make Moron Eastern Samar Version

MORON SUMAN is famous in Leyte and Samar... but Moron version in Eastern Samar has a different version and they call it as "Bakintol." This delicacy is always present in any occasion in Eastern Visayas region. The preparation and procedure is quite difficult but the finished product is so amazing! So yummy!

Ingredients:

First Part:
2 1/2 cups rice (preferably laon) soaked in water overnight
or at least 5 hrs.
1/2 cup water
1/4 tsp anise seeds
1 cup water

For White mixture:
2 1/4 cups of part I mixture
1/2 cup white sugar
2 1/2 cups coconut milk
1/4 tsp iodized salt
1 tsp vegetable oil

For Chocolate Mixture:
1 1/2 cup of part I mixture
1/4 cup chocolate powder (unsweetened ricoa)
1/4 cup chopped peanuts
2 cups coconut milk
1/4 tsp iodized salt
1 cup white sugar
1 tsp vegetable oil

Note:
coconut milk extracted from 2 large coconuts add water
to complete the required liquid
