DC Council expected to have first vote on Monday after budget proposal announcement

The D.C. Council released its budget proposal Sunday, which includes funding for the RFK Stadium campus and adjustments to the tipped minimum wage, with the first vote anticipated on Monday.

The budget was released around noon on Sunday.

All funding for the proposed new NFL stadium campus deal at the RFK Stadium site - $500 million plus money for two garages, combined to be around an estimated $1 billion - remains in this budget.

Specifically, the council budget authorizes bonds of up to $759 million to finance the $500 million needed to pay for the infrastructure at the stadium site, as well as up to $210 million to finance the $175 million needed to pay for the parking lots.
