Mojang released 20w45a Snapshot, a new 1.17 Caves and Cliffs update snapshot today that shows off a lot of new items. Amethysts spawn in geodes underground and give Amethyst Shards. These shards can be made into Spyglasses when combined with Copper, to allow you to see super far. Tinted glass is also made with Amethysts Shards and is glass that won’t allow light in. Don’t worry though, you can also get more light using Candles. Candles can have up to four in one block and can be lit with flint and steel. The other big addition is Copper Ore, which will oxidize into weathered copper over time. You can always save this copper at any stage in the oxidation process by using honeycombs to give waxed copper. Which part of the snapshot are you most excited about?
