Hot Brakes! | A Ride-Along in Railroads Online

It's time to get the iron mine train down to the smelter and back to the yard. We'll kick off the brakes on No. 5 here with 23 cars on the wheel - 15 empty flats, 4 loaded bulkhead flats, 3 loaded hoppers, and trusty caboose No. 3. I have all the loads on the head end, so we are going to test this out here by running solo from the can with NO handbrakes set 😬. This is contrary to some very good advice yall gave me on the last video - but I just wanna see how well No. 5 can handle this train. We'll go down a grade that averages about 3.5% with a ruling grade of 4.2%, and no curves greater than 18 degrees. All work will be done under the "realistic" physics setting. Hold onto your butts, here we go!
