Frankfurt - Paris | Amazing Relic Hunt Next To A Railroad (With A Homesick Detector :)
Join my hunt if you want to see a homesick metal detector!
I came with low expectations. After all it was 2020 in a trashy, already hunted area. To my very surprise I was able to make some nice finds, despite huge EMI problems with my metal detector.
I don't know if my Deus doesn't feel good in this area, or what else was the issue, but when he spotted a French train to Paris, he got sentimental and started crying like a baby.
It was a great, memorable relic hunt from my perspective. The finds were nice, my expectations (by far!) exceeded.
I'm not sure about the age of the buckle. A book shows a buckle with "similar" and dates it way back to 1500-1600. Despite some (small) similarities, I have the feeling that it comes from 1800's. Who knows...
The copper coin was made 1816. If you want to see a picture with a similar coin in better condition, check out the following link: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces18190.html
I showed you my self made (or "modified") tumbler at the end. I found the following YouTube video and used more or less the same cleaning method: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJZD6RRqu6U
It worked on corroded Euro coins.
I hope you had fun during this adventure.
Thanks for watching.
