Black Family with 9 kids Homesteading Journey

Taking the road less traveled has been how Omari and Sakinah have chosen to live life. With nine children, they embark upon the journey of their life in rural central VA. After buying rural land they hope to, not only build their home, but build community/youth retreat on their land. Omari, a math teacher and fitness entrepreneur hopes to connect with locals through providing youth and wellness programming. The love of his life, Sakinah, homeschools their nine children but also is a woodworker with a computer science degree.The adventurous couple hope this social impact story about homeschool, homesteading, and homebuilding is used to ‘write a new story’ for minorities across America.
