Spurs Could Trade De'Aaron Fox To Raptors For Immanuel Quickley. #shorts #nba #foryou #viral

The San Antonio Spurs are in a tough spot. De'Aaron Fox had a nightmare NBA Finals. He averaged only 12.8 points on 34% shooting. He made a costly blunder in Game 4. His $229 million contract is about to kick in.

Trading him will be difficult. But CBS Sports' Sam Quinn has an idea.

Quinn suggested the Spurs could trade Fox to the Toronto Raptors for Immanuel Quickley. Quickley is a former Knicks All-Rookie guard. He averaged 16.4 points, 5.9 assists, and 4.0 rebounds per game this season. He helped the Raptors earn the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference.

Quinn wrote, "Fox isn't an ideal fit as a shaky shooter, but he's a major talent upgrade over their current guards. The Spurs are one of the few teams that would likely be interested in one of their shakier contracts."

Quickley is overpaid at $32.5 million per year. But his contract expires a year earlier than Fox's. That means the Spurs would have cap flexibility when Dylan Harper needs a rookie extension.

Quickley is young, plays both ends of the floor, and has a high-IQ approach. He would fit well with the Spurs.

Fox was terrible in the Finals. Quickley is overpaid but cheaper.
This trade would give the Spurs flexibility. It might be the best option.
