Answering the Why (College)? Essay

This was partly inspired by a comment asking me to do some videos on the supplemental essays. I believe that the "why" essay is one of the most important supplements because most colleges have this question in one form or another.

Perhaps one of the main takeaways from this video and my own experience is to ultimately write like a human being and be honest about why you are applying there. For people who apply to prestigious universities (such as the Ivies) and realize while writing the "why" essay that they actually are applying only for the prestige, this essay actually gives applicants a reality check about why they really are applying for that specific school.
