The Neuroscience of Touch

Drs. Jean Clinton and Tiffany Field present evidence for how touch creates changes in the human brain and affects our wellbeing. Dr. Field is a pioneer in the research on human touch having done a groundbreaking study on using massage to help premature babies in neo natal intensive care grow. Dr. Clinton is a child psychiatrist and clinical professor in the Dept. of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neuroscience at McMaster University. She presented Dr. Field's work at the 2019 @RootsofEmpathy Research Symposium.
