Sky Princess Pool Floods Atrium! Emergency Alert & Crew Response | April 2025 Cruise News

On April 8, 2025, something unexpected happened aboard the Sky Princess—a drain valve on the Deck 16 pool malfunctioned around 10:30pm, causing water to flood the atrium across Decks 7, 6, and 5. Emergency messages went out over the loudspeakers instructing passengers to vacate cabins—only to be quickly followed by a calm, informative message from the captain asking guests to stay put while the trained crew took control of the situation.

The Sky Princess continued on course without delay, arriving in Bordeaux, France as scheduled—proving just how prepared cruise crews really are.
