Walking up to the Louvre in Abu Dhabi

Walking the pathway from the taxi stand ton the entrance of the @louvreabudhabi is reminiscent of strolling through the Shinto gates in #Kyoto #japan ⛩ or The Gates by Christo and Jean Claude - setting the tone. The pace for what comes next. It is so different from the landscape yet perfectly blends - and is constantly changing with the light and time of day. If I lived in #abudhabi i would go there every week. Unlike the larger Louvre or, say the @metropolitanmuseum it isn’t over whelming - it is personal. Unique. And oddly comforting.
