Conrail and Amtrak at Horseshoe Curve-October 1996

October 5, 1996 was Railfest weekend. This was my first trip using a camcorder, the videography is not the best but Conrail trains no longer ply the rails at Horseshoe Curve and many of the locomotives in the scenes are no longer seen on mainline trains. The Railfest excursion train had an ex Erie-Lackawanna SD45-2 on one end and in the opening scene the Engineer gave a great whistle sequence. Scenes are at Horseshoe Curve seen from the visitors center in Altoona, PA and the last 2 scenes are at Gallitzin, PA from the Jackson St. overpass where I managed to get myself into one of the shots.
