Most delicious homemade gulab jamun! This recipe uses milk powder instead of khoya for an easier version with step by step cooking process. These gulab jamun are scented with cardamom and steeped in rose water and saffron .
10 mistakes and solutions:
1-if you add too much flour in the dough the gulab jamun become hard.
2-If your dough is too soft, then you can add some
semolina, flour, or corn flour.
3-Dry,Crumbly,and cracked dough means, there is not enough moisture.
so, sprinkle some milk or water and mix until dough is soft.
4-The dough should be soft, smooth, and slightly sticky
for the perfect texture of gulab jamun.
5-Make sure that dough ball should be crack free ,
then only will get perfect gulab jamun.
6-The consistency of the sugar syrup play an important roll, if too thick ,
the jamun will not absorb the syrup, then it becomes dry inside.
7- If oil is not hot enough jamuns will soak alots of oil and turn soggy.
8-If you are confuse about oil temperature ,
just drop one piece and check the pemperature.
9-Make sure your sugar syrup is not too hot,
other wise the gulab jamun become extremely soft.
10-So i always advice to all first make sugar syrup,
then start to fry gulab jamun.
These are the main mistake we do while making gulab jamun, so always careful while making gulab jamun.
