How I navigate to the pharmacy completely blind in Target with Guide dog Arabella!

So proud of guide dog Arabella! After training her on finding the pharmacy within @Target several months ago, and never going back to revisit it all by ourselves until last night, she guided mommy to the Tucktaway CVS pharmacy counter beautifully!

not only that, she guided me down the laundry aisle to grab my laundry beads, and then she guided me so perfectly to the checkout counter and then out the doors to our Uber!

For most people this is such a insignificant small errand, but for me it is a great achievement!

Since I am completely blind, every little task him be a challenge. This target run was not planned, it was after 7:30 PM at night, my husband was out of town and girls were not available to go with me, so I had to do it alone. Even though I knew I could do it with Arabella, I definitely had to encourage myself as I stepped out. And guess what? I am so glad I did, I gained more confidence within Arabella, lovely new experiences, sweet interactions with new people and acquaintances, but more importantly, I had fun and gain more confidence within myself!

It can be intimidating and scary stepping out into this world without eyesight, trusting your other senses, your orientation and mobility skills, relying on individuals to give you assistance when you need it, and trusting your guide dog to help find your Way, but what I have learned along the journey, I am stronger than I think I am, and when you have hope, joy, and a whole lot of faith, all things are possible!
