My R6 Autofocus Is Being Annoying - Any Ideas? Are You Experiencing Issues? Possible Solutions

In testing the Canon R6 I have encountered an AF issue when photographing small birds on perches. The camera refuses to focus on the bird if it locks onto the background.

I have used a few different techniques to overcome these issues you may find helpful if you are experiencing issues.
