With no foreigners allowed in, Thailand is paying its own citizens to go on holiday | ABC News

Being paid to go on holiday sounds too good to be true, but that's exactly what's happening in Thailand. The government is trying to help the tourism industry recover from the economic slump caused by COVID-19, so it's encouraging citizens to "holiday at home" by picking up some of the tab.
