What are your weaknesses? #shorts

Kelly Kapoor may be entertaining but she isn't the greatest character to take interview advice from.

When you're asked "What are your weaknesses?" in a job interview, here are some answers you SHOULDN'T use:

▶ "I don't have any."
Yes, you do. And if you say you don't, then you're also saying you're not self aware enough to identify areas for improvement.

▶ "Perfectionism."
This was quite the popular answer for a long time. Yes, perfectionism absolutely can be a weakness. BUT part of what the interviewer is looking for is how you're working on your weaknesses. There's not a great way to capture it with this answer.

▶ Any skill that's key for the job
Most of us have room to build more skills in something related to our jobs. Those are fine answers, as long as they aren't KEY for the job. Interviewing for a data analyst job that primarily uses SQL? Don't highlight SQL as your weakness!
