TimesTalks: Spike Lee

Spend an evening with award-winning director, producer and writer Spike Lee, one of the most provocative and directional auteurs of our time, in conversation with Charles Blow, Op-Ed columnist for The New York Times. The duo will discuss Lee’s new film “BlacKkKlansman,” winner of the Grand Prix at 2018 Cannes Film Festival. The film follows the surprisingly true and improbable early-70s case in which black police detective Ron Stallworth applied to, and was ultimately granted membership in, the Ku Klux Klan. Join Spike Lee and Charles Blow as they unpack the political and cultural relevance of the film, how progress can always be repealed, and how racism in America is far from solved.
