Steph is different man. No it's not his shooting, that's not hidden, he's leading the league in scoring. Everyone knows that Steph is the greatest shooter of all time. It's nothing to do with basketball, but everything to do with basketball. Sounds dramatic, but Stephen Curry has gotten better. He just had his highest scoring season last year and this year, Curry is putting together another MVP campaign and now he's running around like this... and playing defense like this. You ever wonder how did dude doesn't get tired?

His conditioning is out of this world and it's not by accident. His hidden skill is that in the middle of a game in which usually an NBA player's heart rate is 150, Curry can lower his heart rate back down under 80 within a minute.

When you get to above 115 beats per minute, you lose fine motor skill, something that is very important for shooting, dribbling, passing, pretty much anything to do with a basketball, happens to everyone, and performance can suffer, but let's talk about heart rate real quick. NBA players have an average resting heart rate of 60 which is lower than the normal person's resting heart rate of 80. NBA players have high intensity for short durations, their heart rate skyrockets up. They expend a lot of energy and so their bodies need oxygen.

It's also why we literally see stars resting on the court offensively or defensively. And then there's Steph who literally can't stay still.

We can simplify this rest to, "Oh they need to catch their breath" but really what's happening is that their muscles need oxygen which their blood contains and is transporting, which is being pumped by their heart. The higher the beats per minute, the more work their heart has to do which takes up energy too. You can't be at a state of 170 beats per minute forever. But athletes typically have stronger hearts due to training and conditioning. Now each heart contraction is able to pump out more blood, their lungs become more efficient, respiratory muscles like your diaphragm get stronger, take in more oxygen, and more capillaries are formed to let more oxygen into blood. All this means more oxygen replenishment with less motions.

When you exercise, it takes a while for your heart rate to come down, the more fit you are, the quicker it can drop. Usually it drops by 20 beats per minute.

Now imagine you hacked all of that too. Now not only can you be at a higher intensity for longer, you can also immediately relax your heart and muscles to conserve energy and rest and reset. This means your fine motor skills are also not taking a hit and you can be deadly at shooting.

A simple timeout for Steph is almost like him sitting out for 5 minutes. This is sounding like some anime one minute here is 7 years there.

You ever think why Steph and the Warriors go crazy in the third quarter. Ok this isn't the only reason why the Warriors go crazy in the second half, I got a video coming out detailing exactly why.

Part of that training is that after Curry is exhausted at the end of the workout, after he's out of breath attempting to catch it, his trainer puts sandbags right below his rib cage in order to overload and train Curry's diaphragm. His diaphragm strong af. And Steph is known to have crazy workouts, you know that Steph only counts the swishes as makes, anything else ain't it. And J.J. Reddick said that shit wasn't normal. He's so good at shooting that they bhad to make that more difficult for him.

Now this hidden skill has been out in the news for some time now, and you can see Steph somehow getting more and more active offensively and defensively.

Distance covered may not accurately capture how much Steph actually moves because of all the fakes, the energy expended in the small little steps. Steph is the only All-Star in the top 50 players in terms of speed off ball.

His trainer last season stated that “Stephen at 33 is where a lot of guys are at 27,” Payne said. “Steph is still getting stronger, is still getting faster. He’s still physically developing. So he’s going to continue to get better.”

Remember how I said he was super active defensively, Steph is top 20 in steals and deflections.

You can say that Curry is getting a zenkai boost after getting injured hurt. Curry a saiyan. Again, the fact that we're even thinking about the fact that Steph might be better than his unanimous MVP season, that the Warriors are on pace to win 74 games in 2021 is insane, and this skill, this is a result of hardwork.
