How to: DIY European Mule Deer Mount 2022

Doing your own european Deer mount for the first time can be a little intimidating but it doesn't have to be. With the rise of CWD regulations, many places now require hunters to prepare their skulls for transport by first removing all brain and spinal tissue, including the eyes before being able to legally transporting a harvested skull.
This means hunters have to either skull cap their animals in the field or bring along the necessary tools and equipment in order to prepare the skull for transport. Once the skull has been prepared for transport, the process for creating a quality European Mount can proceed. Necessary tools and equipment include a large pot or galvanized tub, propane burner, propane tank along with Borax, Oxi Clean and Dawn Dish Soap. Once hunter's get their skulls home, they can then go through the boiling (simmering) process preparing skulls for the whitening process.Both processes are demonstrated in this video.
