The Trickster Wound What the Heyoka Archetype Actually Means for INFJs
You've seen the word everywhere. Heyoka. Posted in captions, claimed as identity, worn like a badge that finally explains the feeling of being slightly out of step with every room you've ever entered. Part of you wanted it to be true. Part of you wanted a name for what you carry.
But what's being sold under that word has almost nothing to do with what it actually means. The real meaning is harder. And it asks something of you that the social media version never will.
In this video, The Trickster Wound: What the Heyoka Archetype Actually Means for INFJs, we return to the source, the Lakota sacred contrarian, Jung's Trickster archetype, and name what this pattern actually looks like when it runs through an INFJ. This is what we do at Power and Myth.
✓ The Heyoka: Not a personality type but a calling and what that distinction changes
✓ The Lakota source: What sacred disruption meant before the internet claimed it
✓ The Trickster wound: Why the cost of your perception is not proof you were wrong
✓ Empathic mirroring in reverse: The specific INFJ expression of this archetype
✓ The shadow: When disruption becomes a wound responding to a wound
✓ Integration: The difference between what you see and what needs to be spoken
The Heyoka was not invented by the internet. In Lakota tradition, this was a sacred figure chosen by the Thunderbeings, called to move through the world in reverse, to disrupt comfortable agreements, to hold up a mirror that showed what was actually there rather than what the group needed to see.
Jung named the same pattern the Trickster. Loki, Coyote, Anansi, Hermes, it appears in every mythology because every stable human system needs a force that breaks open what has calcified. And the cost of carrying that force is structural. You do not get to put down the mirror and simply belong. That option was removed the moment the pattern began running through you.
This is not a wound you chose. But it is yours. And naming it is the first act of carrying it differently.
Most Heyoka content will validate the experience and leave it there. Every identity gets its flattering version. Power and Myth will not do that here.
This video names the gift, the wound, and the shadow with equal precision — because integration requires all three. The Wounded Healer does not become whole by claiming only the healing. They become whole by facing what created the wound.
This is not self-help. This is initiation. And initiation does not flatter you. It changes you.
→ INFJs who have always been experienced as too much
→ Those carrying the Exile's loneliness without knowing its name
→ Anyone who has silenced their perception to protect a relationship
→ Seekers who want honest mapping, not comfortable identity
