About Shabana Azmi:

Shabhana Azmi is a former member of India’s Parliament and one of South Asia’s most renowned actresses. She has played a role in more than 100 films and is a four-time winner of the Filmfare Best Actress Award. Outside of acting, Azmi has been awarded the Gandhi International Peace Award, the World Economic Forum’s Crystal Award, and the Padma Shri from the Indian government. She is a member of the National AIDS Commission of India, is a UN Goodwill Ambassador, and was nominated as a member of the Rajya Sabha in 1997. Azmi donated her voice as the female doctor in the Indian English, Hindi and Urdu TeachAids animations.
