Booting of Microsoft (MS) Disk Operating System (DOS) version 6.22. In the booting process, after loading Extended High Memory driver (HIMEM.SYS), Mouse, and CD-ROM drivers in the CONFIG.SYS and the AUTOEXEC.BAT, following Norton utilities were executed at the end of the AUTOEXEC.BAT file:

* Norton Disk Doctor (NDD) for a quick diagnostic of mechanical Hard Disk Drive (HDD) to find and fix any issues with disk, Master Boot Record (MBR), partitions, File Allocation Table (FAT) file system, directory and file structures, and bad sectors.
* Norton Speed Disk (NSD) for a quick defragmentation of directories and files on the HDD.
* Norton Image (Image) for a quick backup of essential parts of the file system and save it at the very end of the HDD. In case of any issue with the file system (FAT) corruption, the backup can be used to quickly recover to the last known backup.
