So if you ask me, other than Kyoto, Osaka is the best place to base yourself if you want to discover the top spots around the Kansai region! Plus, with the country’s well-connected railways and shinkansen (bullet train) system, a lot of places can be reached in just a day!

For this video, I've explored some of the top places you could see as day trips from Osaka (E.g. Arashiyama's Bamboo Forest & Ebisuya Rickshaw Tour, Kyoto's Nishiki Market, Osaka's Mino Waterfall for Autumn, Kobe, etc.).

This is part 1 of 3 in this Kansai series, and the next railway passes that I'm going to try are with Nankai and Kintetsu — so stay tuned!
