The Annex | Anne Frank House

Prinsengracht 263 is one of the most photographed places in Amsterdam. This is where Otto Frank’s business Opekta was located. But the location is best known as Anne Frank’s hiding place.

Like many other houses on the Amsterdam canals, the property consisted of a house with an annex. In this Annex, Anne hid with her family and four other Jewish people during World War Two.

From the courtyard garden, you can see the window of Anne’s room. This is the side of the Annex that almost no one gets to see.
