Branch offices deserve great telephone service, too! Typical Skype for Business on-prem solutions focus on centralized pools, and cloud solution - SfB or Teams - remove things even further from an organization's control.
The Survivable Branch Appliance (SBA) has been Microsoft's historical solution for on-prem branch offices, but it has some less-than-ideal characteristics, and it's not applicable to cloud solutions. This presentation will review the SBA, full SfB pool and 3rd party options for on-prem solutions, and options for cloud and hybrid deployments.
Also covered will be the requirements and drawbacks of each option, including centralized Internet access, WANs, single points of failure, Auto Attendant/IVR handling, PSTN redundancy, Cloud Connector, Direct Connect, and Express Route.
