The Magic of Magic Picker

I have really bought into using Photoshop lately, as it's something I already use at my full time job. The major problem with Photoshop for me as an artist is it's color picker. It is not intuitive and often times just frustrates me as I'm attempting to pick a color that I want, or need.

Enter Magic Picker Color Wheel. A simple, and cheap, tool that gives you many more options when choosing that perfect color.

Magic Picker's Magic

So what makes the Magic Picker Color Wheel so special? How simple, yet how complex it is. It's a better color picker than the standard picker that comes with Photoshop. But if you explore it, the tool goes deeper than you think. Not only can you pick colors, but you can lock the value, you can see a color wheel broken down by ROYGBIV, and you can change the shape of the wheel itself to suit your fancy. And yes, I like any tool that allows me to change it to look exactly how I want it to look.

Now, do you really need this tool? No, not at all. I've been using the generic color picker since about 1998. It works. But it has always felt clunky. And there are other color pickers out there. But the price was right at $19.00, so if I didn't like it, I didn't mind wasting a bit of money.

But, so far, I love it. The true test is two months down the line. If I'm still using it, then the investment was worth it. You can check it out at HERE.
